Open Post – Dutch State Visit To Germany

Breaking News, Baguettes! Máxima (who else?) has provided us with our first official, non-wedding bling in over 16 months! But first the reason. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of The Netherlands are paying a State Visit to Germany from July 5th through the 7th. This trip was originally planned for last year, but was delayed due to the pandemic. Her dress is by Natan.

I’m sure they did a bunch of official stuff after their arrival, but let’s be honest: At this point in our royal watching lives WE WANT THE TIARA. Máxima chose the lower setting of the Stuart, paired with the Stuart earrings, a diamond rivière, and Queen Juliana’s “dismantled East Indies bracelet”. She is wearing a repeated Jan Taminiau. Huge shout out to Triple A for the scoop on the jewels and gown.

Triple-A has us covered in the comments, but I thought I’d drop a few up here as well. Day two’s concert of the Koninklijk Concertgebouw Orkest (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra) for German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife Elke Budenbender, held at the Konzerthaus in Berlin. Since tiaras are not done for this event (A PITY) Max, bling sneak that she is, attached the Ear of Wheat clip in her hair and proceeded forth. The dress is a repeat Valentino from the 2011 wedding of Char and Al. It was worth the wait. The necklace and earrings are Queen Juliana’s aquamarines.

I’m so happy. Are you guys happy? I’m so happy… Oh, and before anyone asks, from what I’ve gathered the lady on crutches in the background is the German President’s wife.
