Today we will have a brief Brit Brief. We have multiple ANZAC Day appearances to cover, mostly by the popular younger British royals and an appearance of a royal we don’t see often.
The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry attended the ANZAC Day Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey together. Kate is wearing a teal Catherine Walker Coat, the Rosie Olivia ‘Varick’ hat, her Kiki McDonough earrings, and carrying Emmy London clutch. Harry is wearing Harry clothes ; ).
The Duke of Gloucester also attended the ceremony, and it’s nice to see him. He is often overlooked in the larger British family group photos.
Prince William is on a short tour of New Zealand to commemorate the victims of the recent Christchurch attacks. He also attended an ANZAC day service with the New Zealand Prime Minister and laid a wreath at the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
The ANZAC Day services are a significant part of the royal family calendar, and a reminder of what royals actually do and stand for.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
