You’ll be seeing some of these open posts for upcoming British events, like the flower show and Ascot. They’ll appear under “Most Recent Posts” and then in the sidebar for the rest of the week. We want to allow everyone here to post photos and comments as the events unroll. We’ll be updating the actual post, too, but we are super excited to see what you guys post, too. I suspect many of you find better photos than we do!
We’ll also feature a reader comment from this post. You all are often more creative describing events than we are! We don’t want anyone to miss your words of wisdom.
We’ll start off with the Duchess of Cambridge, who has been working on her “Back to Nature” garden in advance of the show. The garden features incredible edibles, plants for crafts, a tree house, diverse plants and one swinging Duchess ; ).
Here’s some great photos shared by the family themselves!
Kate gave a tour of the garden to some local schoolchildren, wearing an eyelet blouse and cropped flappies, sort of a Meryl Streep Out of Africa vibe. I assume those flappies are conducive to movement, right?
KP has released a short clip of Kate discussing the exhibit.

We have a new video out of Australia this time around. Their morning show sent a correspondent who has an interesting tidbit about Kate getting her exhibit “Her Maj ready”!

Bonus! These people cannot get enough of gardens – The Queen and the Cambridges hosted a Royal Garden party at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday. The Queen is wearing Parvin and a Rachel Morgan hat – good news for those you who want less of Angela’s hats – and the Duchess is wearing pink Alexander McQueen and a Juliette Botterill hat. The weather certainly cooperated for all their garden activities this week, didn’t it?
