What have Joachim and Marie been up to lately? Let’s find out!
Prince Joachim and Princess Marie presented the 2019 Wegner’s Prize at Tønder City Hall. The Prize is awarded to a designer or an institution that has contributed to the memory of Hans Wegner, or to the development of Nordic design. This year’s prize went to Petersen Collection & Craft, a design house in central Copenhagen.
Veterans from all over the country gathered to share knowledge and further develop cooperation at the “Knowledge of Veterans” conference . Prince Joachim, as a patron of Denmark’s veterans, participated in various workshops. The Centre was inaugurated in 2011 and aims to collect and coordinate support for soldiers, veterans and their families.
The Anniversary of NATO’s creation was marked at the citadel in Copenhagen. Prince Joachim laid a wreath, gave a speech and participated in several receptions involving Danish veterans.
Princess Marie opened a new exhibition at the Museum Tirpitz in Blåvand. The exhibition brings the Danish, post-WWII landmine clearance process to life through pictures and objects.
And finally, Marie attended the book launch of Princess Esmeralda of Belgium’s book, “10 Women Who Won The Nobel Peace Prize”. Check out Princess Marie’s Closet for more info.
