Mette-Marit is pretty much on a day to day basis when it comes to attending events, so it was nice to see her accompanying Haakon to the inaugural “Environmental Speech” in Oslo. It is hoped that the event will become an annual occurrence, highlighting the Norwegian government’s plans to contribute to the work for a new global nature agreement, and exploring ways to prevent natural catastrophes in Norway. Mette-Marit’s skirt is a pleated tiger print RIXO in crepe de chine, and her jacket is a fringed jacquard Chloe design.

Some family ski time during spring break.
April 14, 2019 | Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, Prince Sverre Magnus and Queen Sonja (I’m pretty sure that’s her on the last photo) went skiing on a spring break.

Due to her illness, she was advised not to undertake her annual “Literature Train” trip that had become so popular. So this year there will be a “Literature-Metro”. She’ll stick to the city and attend various book related events there, beginning in May. She got a bit of an early start by attending the opening of The German-Norwegian Literature Festival at Oslo Literature House. The theme of the festival is “On the Road to Frankfurt”. Mette-Marit sported belted wool-blend tweed peplum jacket by Oscar de la Renta.

And last but not least, she hosted a writing class for young talents at Skaugum on the 29th.
I don’t know about you, but I think M-M is looking pretty darn good. May her health continue to remain stable for many years to come.
