Catching Up With The Kingdom of Norway

Did you know that that is the proper name of the country? Me either! I’m learning SO MUCH putting these posts together. It’s like being in school all over again. Only this time it’s fun. Onward!

Queen Sonja, like many of our royal ladies, was busy on International Women’s Day as well. She attended an “Empowerment-Breakfast” in Oslo, where minority women spoke about various gender equality challenges and ways to navigate through them.

On the 10th, Harald, Sonja, Haakon, the kids, and METTE-MARIT(!!!) attended the “Folkefest I Holmenkollen”, which means the “Folk Fest in Holmenkollen”. (Didn’t even need to translate that one!) Nordic sporting events commenced, including cross-country skiing, ski jumping and everything else they excel at.
