Victoria was on point for an appearance at the Stockholm Junior Water Prize yesterday. She has been the patron of this organization since 1991 and typically hands out the award. Lately she has tended to an on theme dress, with this year being the most water adjacent.
I like it. She looks good when she accentuates her waist, and the complicated shoes and earrings work with the dreamy, wavy pattern. I can also handle the length because of the structure of the skirt. In fact, she has been on a bit of a roll with this event for the past two years – let’s just take a look back and see what I mean.
In 2018, she sported another structured, bold pattern that was fitted through the bodice and waist. Actually, this might take a bit of lead over the 2019 entry for me. I just like this length on her.
Our tastes diverge when it comes to the 2017 entry. In fact, I am having a bit of an issue discerning how this ties in with the theme.
Zipping into the way back machine, all the way to 2014, we see her channeling my grandmothers vinyl recliner. However, I do like the full skirt, and I think I spy the shoes from this year.
Hopping into our time machine once again, we set the dial for 2006. I rather like this dress and very much like the earrings. Brown tones work surprisingly well on her, and there is a certain softness about this look that suits the times.
Which one is your favorite? Do you like when the Crown Princess goes on theme, or is that too twee for your blood?
