Happy Birthday Professor!

Wishing Pieter van Vollenhoven, husband of Dutch Princess Margriet a very happy 80th birthday!

The Professor is known for his work involving transportation safety. He is an avid pianist, performing professionally as well as an active pilot. He is also the father of many Princes of Orange-Nassau.

Shown here at Willem-Alexander’s inauguration, he seems to be present for all the Dutch activities.

Here’s to many more years of being one of the group of My Favorite Uncles (Don’t worry Tordie–I’m still coming for you). Happy Birthday!!

POST UPDATED: Thanks to Gert-Jan de Wit (and on Twitter) we have more close ups of the birthday party arrivals and departures to view. Thanks for your support!
