The leaves swirl around us in my neck of the woods, and the Royals are swirling about in their worlds. Let’s see what is happening, shall we?
Princess Leonor is sixteen, Prince Albert attends an award ceremony, and King Philippe and Queen Mathilde receive Belgian paralympic participants. See it all here.
Out of the Past
Here’s a little blast from the past for you. Can you spot all the heirs in this video?
Prince Charles is attending the G20 Summit in Rome, making a statement about the need for sustainable environmental change. As we know, this has been a long-term passion for the Prince, stretching back to the seventies. I think we can agree he is looking good while lobbying hard.
This portrait of Her Majesty, the Queen, was released for the 90th anniversary of the British Legion. It’s now the 100th anniversary! The poppies are held in place by the Dorset Bow Brooch, as she has done in the past.
This portrait of the Queen wearing five poppies commemorates the 90th anniversary of the Royal British Legion. This year marks the 100th year of the annual poppy appeal! https://t.co/MkgnkwNImr

Classic Princess Margriet and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau toured the Canadian cemetery during his recent visit. Margriet is always appropriate, but in this case, she is smartly turned out as well.
I mean, just look at her. We are fortunate, for we have another hat pin alert here.
She also gave a speech at the opening of the Centre for Disaster Resilience. She was accompanied by her husband Pieter, and they made a happy duo as they tend to do. Her dress just announces autumn to me, and the colors are flattering to her as well.
Queen Maxima has been at the G20 Summit Rome Summit (Prince Charles is also in attendance). This is actually a quite attractive jumpsuit by Costarellos. She went full-on Maxima for dinner with the Italian president. We don’t have access to those photos, but you can see them over at UfoNomore.

She repeated one of my favorites, her Oscar de la Renta suit, for a series of meetings on financial inclusion.
#UNSGSA Queen Máxima held a series of meetings today to promote #financialinclusion at the #G20Summit, including w/ @IMFnews @KGeorgieva, Germany Vice Chancellor Olaf Scholz, @FinMinIndia Nirmala Sitharaman, @WFP & more. https://t.co/xAkOebHrqG #G20Italy pic.twitter.com/QbrxoWVwNw

The Queen and the Classic Princess have been working up a storm lately. Princess Benedikte visited Parasport Denmark, an organization she has been a patron of since 1981. There’s consistency for you. The skirt may be Missoni, but that is not verified. Check out the manicure coordination!
Her Queenly sister went full-on crazy Daisy (only sartorially, we know she is quite sane) with a coordinated ensemble from hat to toe. This is the Queen Margrethe I live for. She paid a visit to honor Børneringen’s 80th anniversary, in collaboration with the Danish Nature Agency and the Growing Trees Network Foundation. The Queen hung out with some kids since the visit took place at the same time as the Children’s Great Nature and Science Festival 2021.
The Crown Princess paid an under-the-radar visit to Burkina Faso, where she met with the president and participated in several meetings regarding the welfare of women and children. She wore a variety of repeated outfits, which makes sense for a visit of this type. For a breakdown of all the activities and the styles, the Style of Mary blog has you covered.
As we mentioned in the Getty link, Princess Leonor turned sixteen last week. It’s been quite a ride for this Queen-in-Training, and she has stepped up beautifully. If you want to see a full array of photos, check out this Getty link. Happy birthday, Princess Leonor. It’s only the beginning of a long and interesting career for you!
Her cousin, Victoria Federica de Marichalar y Borbon (Elena’s daughter), has begun a career as an Instagram influencer. We don’t have access to the photos, but you can see her at an event in conjunction with Elle magazine, wearing a Caprile dress here.
The King and Queen attended the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering (IVA)’s gala event. The organization builds positive social development by promoting technical and economic sciences. Silvia was stunning in red. She has a lot of that color in her closet, and a lot of lace, so I think this is a repeat. Unfortunately, scrolling through her past appearances didn’t enlighten me as to when it was worn – so if anyone has any idea post it in the comments.
Have some royal news? Leave it in the comments. We’ll all be here all week long.
