Forty for the Fortieth – Final Ten!

The maternity category was unexpectedly popular, but we battled it out and came up with these ten choices. I think you’ll find a wide variety here, and something to please you personally. This was a fun exercise, and we have an anniversary and another milestone birthday to start celebrating this week. The fun never ends around here.

In other British news, another rare portrait of Diana, Princess of Wales, was recently sold. The somber expression was an interesting choice. It was painted by Nelson Shanks in 1994.

Zara Tindall was spotted at the Cheltenham Races, squinting at us through her sunnies. This pose is so reminiscent of Anne it took me aback for a minute. She is wearing a Hobbs “Edeline” coat and Julian Garner hat. The sunglasses? Illesteva, if you are in the market.

Denmark

The Crown Princess turns fifty on February 5th! We’ll be celebrating here with our “Fifty for the Fiftieth” (daywear is this week, so think about your choices). The palace also issued a new set of photos.

Oh, were you all missing the Zoom Room? Here you go! Beautiful dress (by Lasse Spangenberg), and for some reason I think it works in this room. Mary magic.

Finally, some new official photos were released. This gown is gorgeous. I don’t know that I would have ever thought to sprinkle red in a sea of pale blue, but it works and makes the rubies work, too.

Luxembourg

The Luxies took in a conference on water futures and there was some subtle color coordination going on between wife and husband. Stephanie’s bright yellow sweater is by Hobbes, and although you can’t see them well, she is wearing pale yellow pearl drop OdLR earrings.

The Netherlands

Speaking of earrings, Princess Laurentien wore quite a statement pair at the National Reading Breakfast. The rest of her outfit – large reflective pattern aside – was pretty subdued for our sartorially adventurous royal.

Tiaras in the Wild

I know Baguettes love wedding dresses, tiaras, and fancy interiors, so here’s a trifecta. I have no identifications on any of it, so if you do let us know!
