Big week ahead! There is a another wedding in Belgium on Saturday (Princess Maria Laura of Belgium & William Isvy) and Daisy’s Golden Jubilee celebrations Saturday (balcony appearance and theater performance) and Sunday (gala dinner). We’ll keep this post open for the wedding talk and provide an Open Post for the Danish Jubilee. In the meantime, other things keep happening!

There is an embarassment of riches at Getty this week. We have a Crown Princess Mette-Marit sighting, there is a fascinating feature on Queen Elizabeth with her 14 Prime Ministers, the Braemar Games, photos of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their visit to Great Britain/Germany, and quite a bit about “Queen Charlotte’s Ball” (a new event to me). See it all here.
Britain
Her Majesty appoints the FIFTEENTH Prime Minister of her reign, Liz Truss. I know there HAS to be a brooch somewhere.
Belgium
Queen Mathilde’s brother, Count Charles-Henri d’Udekem d’Acoz married Caroline Philippe last Friday in Pont-L’Evêque, France. There was no tiara but the bride attached her veil with a diamond brooch. Mathilde’s family (other than Gabriel, who is in the midst of military training) were all present. The female members of the family were all in repeats: Mathilde wore a repeated caped Natan, Elisabeth repeated her 2020 National Day ensemble from Natan, and Eleanore was in a Maje ‘Rufflino’ midi dress ( H/T to Polka Popp). Modekoningin Mathilde has a new website (GardeRobe Royale) where you can do a deep dive on these ensembles.
#NEW Congratulations to Count Charles-Henri d’Udekem d’Acoz and Caroline Philippe that got married in Pont-L’Evêque, France today! 🥳
It seems that the bride wore a diamond floral brooch to secure her veil. Charles-Henri is Queen Mathilde of Belgium’s younger brother!

There was a sweet royal share, too! Princess Elisabeth borrowed a pair of Carolina Herrera earrings from her mother.

Denmark
The Crown Prince and Princess attended Danish Flag Day celebrations, honoring those Danish service personnel abroad. Mary is wearing a repeat: a deep green Beulah London midi dress, a repeated hat (H/T to our own Baguette Wendy!) and a fascinating peacock brooch.
The Crown Princess wore this criss-cross applesauce blouse to open the the UC SYD Campus Kolding. The blouse is Victoria Beckham and the skirt is Malene Birger, one of Mary’s favorites.
Monaco
The Monacos atteded the traditional “U Cavagnetu” Monaco picnic. Charlene wore a Terrence Bray lace tunic and white pants. Princess Gabriella looked cute in a Jacadi dress, Prince Jacques wore Loro Piana pants and was coordinated with his sister in a Jacadi shirt.
Just like that – summer is over. Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella are headed back to school.
#NEW The Princely Palace of Monaco has released new picture with Prince Albert, Princess Charlene, Princess Gabriella and Hereditary Prince Jacques taken today for the twins’ first day back to school! 🎒

The Netherlands
Speaking of back-to-school (or, since she’s European, off to university) the Princess of Orange headed to her first day at the University of Amsterdam. Her planned course of study is Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics. She did the obligatory photo op and it wil be the last time we see photos of her on campus – the rest of her university career has been deemed private. The Queen-in-Training tossed a trench coat over her white Zara jeans and Circle of Trust blouse (H/T to ModekoninginMaxima for those IDs). I am coveting her Veja tennies.
Meanwhile, her mother is in California and Texas on a quick business trip (REALLY GO TO THE LINK TO CHECK OUT HER SHOES). If any of our west coast Baguettes or Hofdudes encounter her let us know! The King is recovering from pneumonia and stayed home – health vibes to him!
Sweden
The Crown Princess hopped on a boat to view the Osmund shipwreck site in the Stockholm archipelago. She wore an appropriate nautical sweater: a blue and white number from Goat.
Greece
The christening of designer Mary Katrantzou’s son was cause for a lot of celebration in Greece. Princess Marie Chantal is a godparent. For the pre-christening party, she wore a previous season Kantrantzou design, of eye-popping design.

For the christening itself, there was lots of colorful Kantrantzou on offer.

Tiaras in the Wild
Here’s a colorful wedding in Kuala Lumpur for those of you who like “obscure” tiaras!
Congratulations to YM Tengku Abdul Rahman Petra and Miera Leydia who got married on August 18th in Kuala Lumpur! 🥳
The groom is the son of The Hon. Tengku Mohamad Rizam bin Tengku Abdul Aziz, a cousin of the Sultan of Kelantan, Muhammad V 🇲🇾

There’s no tiara here, but I am fascinated by your thoughts on this wedding dress. Prince August-Frederik of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg (yes, that’s a mouthful) married Mia Rohla at the Parish Church of St. Nikolaus near Vienna last Saturday.
