Hofdame Bits and Bobs

We are heading into the downside of winter here in North America, but it has been frigid. Good thing we have royal activity to keep us warm!

Denmark

Oh Mary how I have missed you. The Crown Princess presented the 2023 Women’s Board Award to Google Denmark’s chief executive Malou Aamund. The award celebrates women in administrative levels in Denmark. Mary warmed the cockles of my cold heart by wearing her Gucci glasses. The dress is a nice twist on a simple silhouette, and the brooch babes around here should be happy to see the peacock pin.

Frederik visited an exhibition on the royal yacht Dannebrog. If you are a Count Ingolf and Countess Sussie fan, make sure to click through to the final slide. They accompanied the Prince and Sussie looks GREAT, down to her animal print shoes.

Belgium

I’ve always like this Natan suit on Queen Mathilde, especially on this occasion when she paired it with navy. The Queen attended the 50th anniversary celebration of the OXFAM shop on the Onze Lieve Vrouwestraat in Mechelen.

The Queen wore a bracelet also owned by her sister-in-law Claire. There is speculation that these were gifts from Queen Paola, so there may be a mini-bracelet tradition going on in Belgium.

Norway

Queen Sonja paid a visit to one of her happy places, the National Museum, and I knew you all would like to see an outing of her chunky grey “pearls”.

Japan

The Japanese royals have been out a lot this past month. I really like this color on Princess Akiko.

The Crown Princess looks lovely and elegant, doesn’t she?

Britain and the Netherlands

Well, here is a convergence for you! The Countess of Wessex and Princess Mabel met at the ICC during Sophie’s recent trip to the Netherlands. Both women look great here, and it’s always good to see Mabel pop up.

Oddments

You may have heard that the designer Paco Rabanne, who had a long and storied career, recently died. Princess Esther Kamatari was a good friend, and she posted this tribute. We did a Pocket Profile on the fascinating Princess who spent quite a few years modeling – you can read it here.

Not royal-related, but I thought you might find this hidden sari closure interesting!
