Hofdame Bits and Bobs

It’s less than one month before King Charles III’s coronation, and you’ll notice we have done a little redecorating for the event. Since there has been lots of coronation conversation, we are corraling it in an Open Post, so you can find it all handily. It will also keep our Bits posts a bit cleaner. If you are looking for photos from the Easter service at Windsor, we have a post for that, too.

The Netherlands

Do you know what I love about Queen Maxima? She looks fascinated during all kinds of royal visits, including when she visits a hot melt coating and polymers plant. Yes, she was scrutinizing the plastic polymers here, wearing all Natan all the time!

Sweden

Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia paid a visit to New York City to attend the World Dyslexia Forum. They met up with another royal, Princess Beatrice. It is at least the second time this shared advocacy has brought these three together.

You know that I don’t share the love of the shirtwaist, but this Ti Mo dress is certainly flattering to her. Although, it is hard to find something that wouldn’t flatter her!

She paired a red sweater with a sharp pair of Hugo Boss trousers.

And for the big meet-up with Princess Bea, Princess Sofia wore a Lilli Jahilo jumpsuit while Bea is in her Beulah London Ahana dress.

Monaco

Prince Ranier of Monaco was born in May 1923, and the principality is preparing to celebrate the centenary of his birth. On April 5, the family gathered to attend a mass in his honor. I am guessing as to designer IDs here, but I would lay bets that Charlotte is wearing Chanel and Charlene is in Akris.

There was also baby news in the principality, as Louis and Marie Ducruet – Princess Stephanie’s son and daughter-in-law, welcomed a baby girl.

Oddments

Here’s a treat for those of you missing court dress!
