Hofdame Bits and Bobs

Hofdame Note: We had a party this weekend! If you are looking for photos and comments about the royal wedding in Luxembourg, it’s all in this post.

Coronation week! We have some fun posts this week to the lead-up, including a guest post that pulls all the aspects of the service together for you in one spot. However, let’s turn our attention to the other royals before it’s all-Charles all-the-time on this blog. We have a busy week ahead, with a state visit in Spain and the first of two garden parties at Buckingham Palace before the coronation events.

The Netherlands

Ten years a King! A photo of Princess Beatrix, King Willem Alexander, and the Princess of Orange, taken late last year, was released for the occasion.

In honor of his tenth anniversary, the King hosted 100 Dutch citizens for lunch at the Oranjezaal at Huis ten Bosch Palace. (Josine has a great post about the Oranjezaal here). The Queen is wearing a repeated Natan blouse and a skirt from an unknown designer.

At last, we have some good photos of the Orange princesses from Koningsdag. Princess Marilene is in purple Max Mara separates, and Princess Aimée is wearing a Sézane blouse. Anita’s camel dress and Annette’s coat/cape are not identified.

Speaking of the extended family, look who appeared on the orange carpet for Soldaat van Oranje!

Sweden

Happy 77th birthday to King Carl Gustaf! As usual, the family gathered, this time on the new balcony (H/T to Mrs. Diamond for that Bit!) to greet the crowds.

The Crown Princess continued with her busy schedule last week, wearing a series of suits and blazers we’ve seen before. Her much-worn Andiata Ayden Wrap Blazer and her Coral By Malina suit both made appearances.

Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia attended a seminar on neuropsychiatric disabilities at the Karolinska Institutet. Sofia is wearing & Other Stories skirt for the occasion.

Denmark

The Crown Princess has been a whirling dervish lately. Between her recent tour and upcoming travel to the coronation, she attended a service honoring the anniversary of women in the priesthood in Denmark. For those of you pining for an old-school royal appearance, take note of the dress/hat/brooch combination. The Princess is wearing her KITX coat belted coat and one of those headband-style hats many of you believe we will see in great numbers at the coronation. See UFONoMore for more information.
