Hofdame Bits and Bobs

As anyone who follows royals knows, there was a christening last week, and for the “slow” summer period, quite a bit more. Let’s hit it.

Tours

Crown Princess Mary can’t get enough of Paris, it seems. The Danish Court announced that she and Crown Prince Frederick will make an official business visit to Paris on October 7th and 8th.

Queens in Training

King Willem-Alexander and the shockingly grown up Princess of Orange, Catharina-Amalia, attended the World Cup Women’s final between the U.S. and the Netherlands. I am sorry for our Orange friends about the loss, although as a U.S. citizen, I can’t be *that* sorry. Princess Ariane was there as well.

Two Queens in Training on vacation, just like us. I am a bit of a jeans jacket connoisseur and I want this one. Fortunately, it’s a look I can afford. I also like Estelle’s ready for anything life vest action.

Actual Queens a Queening

ROYGBIV Checkin: Tils: Yellow! Leti: White! Max: Blue! I really wish I had a green entry for you but alas, no. We go to (the utterly adorable) Sonja: Red!

Classic Edition Princesses

One of the classiest Classic Edition Princesses attended a 100th anniversary event for Danish Scouting, and managed to place the knotted scout scarf precisely on her lapel. Which is why she is a princess and I am not.

The Princess Royal was in her element, in uniform, as she attended the 50th anniversary of a Navy nuclear base. Anne in uniform means all is well with the world.

Princess Kiko simply could not stop smiling during both the Polish and Finnish legs of the tour she and Prince Akishino just finished. I feel like we are seeing a breakout of her personality these days.

This and That

If you aren't talked out about the christening, you can look at the both the photos one more time here! Although we can't see a lot of the clothing, Meghan was reportedly in Dior and Kate in Stella McCartney. Fun facts, the same love seat was used in Prince Harry's christening photos, and Kate wore Princess Diana's Collingwood pearl earrings, which Diana also wore at the 1984 christening. I wasted a good ten minutes of time trying to find the royal faces in the chintz (See Royal Central).

A fun flashback photo of Ingrid and her girls to end this week's entry!
