What does August say to you? If you are Prince Charles, it says butterflies, and I can’t think of a better way to leap into this week’s Bits.

Let’s do a mini Defense of the Room, buried right here in Bits. In 2019, Fred unveiled another room of modern art at Amalienborg Palace, but their official Instagram just featured it this week. We know the Palace has lots of historic tapestries. Throughout 2018 the Swedish artist and photographer, Miriam Bäckström created a modern, dynamic interpretation of a tapestry that encircles an entire room. The artist dubbed it “Organic Gold”. According to the Palace, “The work fuses with the interior from 1828, which is an example of the Danish Empire’s style, characterised by, among other things, painted stucco ceilings.”
Take a look at it below. Drink it in. Then let us know what you think!

From the fantastic to the practical, here is Princess Anne accepting a bouquet from a bomb disposal robot, without breaking royal stride.
Yesterday, The Princess Royal visited soldiers from the Royal Logistic Corps in Northern Ireland, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of 321 Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Search Squadron.

Virtual Vacationing with the Royals
After months of isolation, the Norwegian royal family have had a very small family reunion during vacation in Mågerø – stay safe all. We need you folks to resume regular royaling in 2021. I’m not sure what the Norwegian recommendations are so let’s stay away from the mask debate in the comments. Thanks!
