Hej Baguettes! Let’s straighten out our crowns, pick up our sceptors, and dive in.

The two Phils, Felipe and Philippe, are featured. One had a birthday and the other is giving a speech in a fabulous room. See it all here.
Back in the Bag
Relive the glamour of the 2020 BAFTAs, one of the last glittery royal events we had last year before it all shut down.
Netherlands
The Dutch released two photos on the occasion of Princess Beatrix’s 83rd birthday. It’s always a balm to the soul to see beautiful Oma.

Britain
It’s been a tough haul for parents and kids alike, and the Duchess has stepped up. On the shallow side, I need that touk/toque/touque/knit cap with a toofie. Our weather requires covered ears at all times.
Norway
Norwegian wallpaper continues to fascinate me in a myriad of ways. Look out for a “Defense of the Room” coming up on this very subject, but in the meantime just soak up the homey blue and white here.
Madagascar
We seem to harken back to Ranavalona III frequently on this blog. Just feast your winter-weary eyes on this dress. I have spent some time on reflecting how this fascinating woman has fallen out of the public consciousness. We vow to do our best here at the Bag to bring her history back to light.
Jordan
We don’t visit with the youngest son of the Jordanian royals, Prince Hashem, often. Or ever. Let’s rectify this. and try to answer the question: can this royal family get any better looking? Also, was anyone else aware that father and son shared a January 30th birthday? (Also shared with King Felipe).
ما كنت أتخيل أن بإمكاني أن أحبكما أكثر، ثم أجد حبي لكما يزداد كل يوم. كل سنة وسيدنا وهاشم بخير
It seems impossible to love you two more, but every day proves me wrong… twice! Happy birthday Your Majesty and my Prince Hashem pic.twitter.com/KVHKtAvimV

Sweden
Let’s check in on Victoria in the indoors and outdoors. Indoors, she is wearing a beautiful brilliant blue blouse, but her heart obviously resides outside. Also, you get a glimpse of a member of the family enjoying the snow in the background ; )
And, this is just fun. The Swedish and Danish handball teams met to fight it out for the championship gold. Fredi and Vickan wished each other well (Fred was photographed by Christian)….at the time I added this it was the half so I don’t know who won!

”Lycka till, Danmark! Må bästa lag vinna.”För en kort stund sedan önskade Kronprinsessan och Kronprins Frederik…

Spain
As always, the Spanish royals are diligently going about their round of duties. They seem to have the busiest calendars in all royaldom. Last week they hosted the annual diplomatic reception. Letizia wore a repeated Alejandro de Miguel designer-unidentified long dress, and some lovely earrings, which Iselen described in last week’s Bits comments.
She also attended a meeting of the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases, wearing a Hugo Boss blazer and trousers. She added some pretty darn good Boss Pointed ballerina flats, which I covet beyond belief. She wore another Hugo Boss, with wider trousers, to the meeting of the Council of Women and Engineering.
Check out the Queen Letizia Style blog for details.
