Hofdame Bits and Bobs

Snow, snow and more snow coming. What else can I say about the life of a Hofdame in the midwest? Like many of my fellow nothern hemisphere counterparts locked in endless winter, I’ve been a little desperate for color lately. Will the royals help me out here?

Our Tils hung out with some tulips and WAX was out perfecting his elbow bump technique. See it all here.

Back in the Bag

Last year, the Prince, the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Cambridge duo made a rare double appearance on a visit to Loughborough, in support of the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Center. Wills showed he could sink a basket from a wheelchair, to much glee and surprise.

The royal baby boom continues. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced they are expecting their second child. Congratulations to the couple and big brother!

Did you know that the books in Queen Mary’s dollhouse library contain actual artwork? I fell down this rabbit hole over the snowy weekend.

The Spanish royal house announced the plans for Princess Leonor’s continuing education. She will be following in the footsteps of the Duchess of Brabant and spend two years studying the international baccalaureate at UWC Atlantic College in Wales (from September 2021 to the end of the school year in 2023). The Queen-in-Training will be very well prepped to take her role when the time comes. Iselen was kind enough to explain in detail the various fields of study that Leonor will undertake. See our discussion in last week’s Bits comments.

Meanwhile, her mother made an appearance at the online Internet Safety event, and I really wish I could see the rest of this. The green is welcome. Edited: The Queen Letizia Style blog has posted their full-length photos, and I am all in. They identify it as Carolina Herrera. Also, all in on the new Uterque leather loafers she wore with her outfit the next day.

These crazy kids re-enacted a romantic moment for all of us.

I am strongly attracted to the tulips in these photos. I can’t say that I find this the best color for our lovely Tils, but she did break out a pastel in an effort to cheer us up. The Queen and King visited the Jan Yperman Hospital to discuss vaccination and Covid treatment. Mathilde is wearing a repeat Natan, and ModekoninginMathilde has all the details.

Ah Tils, you never disappoint color-wise. From top to bottom, the fuzzy yellow Natan Veronique Branquinho coat, a Natan plaid royal lady pantsuit, and a multi-colored Armani blazer.

If you are on Instagram and don’t follow Royal Ladies of Europe, you should! See the collage below ; ). She does all our work for us. More Tils, more color. I’m all for splashing out on the hues of the rainbow, but you know my feelings on neck bows. Remove those, open the collars, and I am onboard for Queen Colorful.

Are you color desperate?

Welcome and thank you for visiting! We invite you to leave your royal comments all week long.
