As a reminder, the wedding dress post is still waiting for your vote, if you haven’t already weighed in. We are heading down to the final two.
In the meantime, so many sporty things were going on last week I barely knew where to look next. Let’s get our spectator faces on and watch folks score sports points!

Two Queens in green, mucho horsey stuff happening, and the Duchess of Brabant getting tactical. Read it all here.
Back in the Bag
Last year we rejoiced when several royals actually LEFT THE PALACE and we got a glimpse of some summer dresses.
Luxembourg
Everyone’s favorite LIttle Royal was out and about with his entourage (ahem parents) making a series of visits to the elderly. I think Charles has learned the effect of his charm and knows exactly how to deploy it.

Britain
Wimbledon wrapped up last week, and we were treated to many royal appearances and some great sports face. Here is a good one for those who can’t let go of the event. Spot the royal – there are quite a few of them in this photo. Tim Taylor and Michael Middleton in the same shot? Yes, the Handbag is very happy.
The other big British sport story this week was the EFA Euro 2020 Championship Final between Italy and England at Wembley Stadium. Prince William is the president of the English Football Association and he took Prince George and the Duchess along to the final, which, sadly, England lost. George was a brave lad and put on a disappointed but stoic “Good Sport” face, while his father congratulated the Italians. Congratulations, Italy, from the Hofdames who do not understand the futbol but are happy for you and your sports points.
Here is a dashing duo. I think we would all tune into their public radio show, right? Princess Alexandra and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, appeared at the Windmill City Farm and showed their country roots with some up-close animal time. Both women looked fantastic, head to toe.
Sweden
To my eyes, Princesses Estelle and Leonor are practically unrecognizable after a year of face masks. Growing up, I hear it’s called. They attended a concert which was a family affair, with parents and grandparents involved, too. Princess Madeleine sparkled in an embellished sweater, and grandmother Silvia went bold. Very bold.
Denmark
I don’t know about you but I can’t get enough of this sister act – ladies in red under a rainbow, no less.
Norway
I am glad Auntie Astrid is enjoying her summer. She was handing out prizes to the winners of Grundig Hankø Race Week 2021 wearing Hermes, as you do.
New photos of Harald and Sonja were released to commemorate the 30 year anniversary of their consecration in Nidaros Cathedral. Bless you Sonja for bringing some sparkle into our dreary lives. Of course, my favorite King is always a welcome sight, too. Looks like the photos were taken at the Banqueting Hall in the Royal Palace, Oslo.

As always, you are our honored guests here at the Bag. Sit back, sip some Prosecco, and make yourselves at home. Also, please leave your contributions to the discussion all week long.
