We seem to be all about the summer weddings around here. Our “Road Less Traveled” wedding poll is running until Thursday, so please don’t forget to add your entries. It’s a-hopping with gowns that don’t usually get discussed but deserve our admiration. Also, there were a couple of royal adjacent weddings in real time that we must check in on! Finally, we had two Queen-in-Training sightings that bode well for the long-term future of blogs like this.

The Spanish royals were out in force, royal-adjacents went a-gala-ing again in Monaco, and there was a commemoration ceremony for the late Duke of Edinburgh at Holyroodhouse. See it all here.
Back in the Bag
Two years ago Princess Charlene went to the Red Cross gala in the greenest of green Marchesa. There was cape action, folks!
Royal Adjacent Brides
The former Princess Tessy of Luxembourg has married her long-term boyfriend Swiss businessman Frank Floessel. The wedding was held in Zurich and the bride wore a sleeveless summer gown that looked cool and lovely.
Every socialite on the planet scampered to Rome to see Kitty Spencer, the oldest daughter of Earl Spencer, marry Michael Lewis this weekend. More of the wedding here.
WOW! Just wow!!!

Denmark
Bless Queen Daisy, who knows that royal action is thin on the ground in late July. She scheduled her yearly visit to the Faroe Islands just to cheer us up! Good to see her about and being very, very Daisy.
Norway
The Crown Prince and Princess, along with Princess Ingrid-Alexandra, attended the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on Utøya island. It’s an understandably somber event and not one that lends itself to discussion on clothes. I’ll say only that the Queen-in-Training is a beautiful representative for her country.
The King and Queen, along with the Crown Prince, Princess, Ingrid Alexandra, and Sverre Magnus also attended other events in memory of the lives lost in the attacks, which occurred in various locations. Haakon and Mette-Marit were at the commemorative event in the Government Office Complex. King Harald and Queen Sonja attended a memorial service held at Oslo Cathedral. The entire family went to the evening national event of remembrance in Oslo.
Spain
The entire Spanish royal family attended the celebrations marking Saint James the Apostle Day at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. Another Queen-in-Training sighting here, and at this point Leonor is an old hand at these events.
