Another summer week has flown by, and royal sightings are as still as rare as snow in August, Never fear, the Brits did an appearance through windshields up in Scotland and a few others have been out and about, too. So off we go to see what’s up.
Working
If not the whole fam damily, at least a good contingent of British royals were out at Crathie Kirk services. While it might technically be their vacation, let’s face it, there is a strong work element involved. So under “Working” it goes.
Kate, Wills and HerMaj, calmly exuding major stardom on the way to church.
Anne! By the looks of her expression, she might be ready to give the deacon a Royal Opinion about typos in the missalettes.
Chuck and Cams. Cams wants Chuck to step on it so she can warn the deacon about the impending lecture ; ).
Another Queen was out working over in Oslo. Sonja attended the final of the ‘Queen Sonja International Music Competition 2019’ held at the Norwegian National Opera. Sonja, like her daughter-in-law, is just lovely in creams and whites.
Henri and MT were spotted at the closing award ceremony of the Francophone Film Festival of Angoulême. The Grand Ducal coupled ended the evening by attending a dinner with members of the festival. MT sported some massive pink earrings and a shawl that I don’t hate.
Princess Beatrix attended the opening of the 79th session of the Institut de Droit International, an entity concerned with the development of international and private law. The Princess attended law school herself, so the cause is probably close to her heart. I am also pleased to note that she has not abandoned the cake hat.

This and That
King Juan Carlos has had successful triple bypass heart surgery, and Felipe visited his father with both his mother and Letizia.
One of our favorite classic edition princesses, Benedikte, attended the opening of Youth Island, an activity platform for Denmark’s young people.
The former Queen Dina of Jordan has died at age 89. She was the wife of King Hussein of Jordan between 1955 and 1957, and the mother of Princess Alia bint Hussein.
Edited to add: There have been a couple of questions about Queen Dina. One asking for more information on her wedding tiara, which I do not have but am opening up to the hive mind. I added a larger photo below. Also, I have no additional information on her negotiation to exchange prisoners which released her husband and 8,000 others, but I do think it’s very impressive.
What did I miss?
