Open Jubilee Post – Big Jubilee Lunch and Pageant (Updated!)

We are wrapping up four days of celebration with a bang! We should see a good contingent of royals at the Pageant, and at least the Wales and Wessexes at lunches.

Jubilee Lunches

Jubilee lunches are being hosted all over the country! Over 60k people have registered to host the lunches during the weekend across the UK. We should spot some royals, too. It’s been announced that Charles and Camilla will be in London, at the Oval, and the Wessexes will be in Windsor at the Long Walk.

Cams looks lovely and spring-like in her green dress. I wish I were there to help them tuck into that spread (I have been informed it’s all felt – so maybe not)! They gave a lovely toast to the Queen.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie attended a Big Lunch at the Westminster Council. Princess Beatrice is in the blue Saloni “Devon” dress, and Princess Eugenie is in the Roksanda “Adriana” dress.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex are holding down the fort in Windsor. They attended the local Big Lunch, and demonstrated both their love of dogs and their sense of humor! You will not miss Sophie in this green Giuliva Heritage Blazer!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a local party at Kensington Memorial Park this morning. The Duchess is wearing a past season Alessandra Rich dress.

Jubilee Pageant

The pageant begins at 2:30 p.m. local time, but the live stream starts at 1:00 p.m. See the pageant Facebook page for more details.

The Gold State Carriage is being dusted off for the Pageant. There will be some digital enhancement going on, too, because the Royal website promises to “evoke the excitement and majesty of her journey to be crowned 70 years ago.”

It’s been announced that The Queen won’t personally travel in the Gold State Carriage,  but there will be”a fabulous surprise.”

The royal family is filing into the royal box to view the pageant. The children have goodie bags to entertain themselves (it’s been a long couple of days for them). The tentative ID on the Duchess of Cambridge’s dress is a Stella McCartney, a quintessential British designer.

H/T to Polka Popp, who has been a whirling dervish these last four days, for identifying Zara Tindall’s dress.

Here is the parade route!

The Balcony. The Queen, pro that she is, wore green to be visible, and a brooch of great historical import, the Victorian Bow Brooch. Rachel Trevor Morgan posted on Instagram that she made the hat and the coat is Stewart Parvin (H/T to our Baguette Suzannah for bringing us this information!)
