Unfortunately, the Queen will not be attending these two events. We hope to see her Sunday!
Epsom Derby and BBC Platinum Party
I do not think these two events are being televised outside of the UK, but you can certainly keep an eye on the Royal Family Youtube channel. They may pop up! ITV should carry the Derby and BBC will carry the Platinum Party. (Edited: Looks like most of the major networks in the U.S. will have coverage during the day. ABC has the most comprehensive coverage.)
The Epsom Derby begins at 5:30 PM local time, and the BBC Platinum Party runs from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM local time. At this time, Anne’s family, including the Tindalls, are expected at the Derby. Most of the other royals – with the exception of The Queen and Prince Andrew will be at the concert.
Some photos are starting to trickle in from the Derby. Princess Anne looks great in this Hofdamn’s opinion (LiL holding the fort today), and you can just see Princess Alexandra behind her. More photos as soon as I can grab some.
Zara and Mike were there as well. Zara wore a Diane von Furstenberg dress and another Juliette Botterill hat, which we know we’ll see on Mike at some point, right?
Queen Elizabeth kicked off the concert with another “James Bond”-esque opening, this time with Paddington Bear!

Whoever thought of having Paddington come to Buckingham Palace for tea with the Queen, 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 #PlatinumJubilee #partyatthepalace pic.twitter.com/4A57Xd0UHZ

Some photos from the concert are drifting in. The grandkids are having fun.
Jubilee Face!
You can’t see much of the Duchess of Cambridge’s ensemble but it’s by Self-Portrait and features a boucle jacket over a chiffon midi skirt. Charlotte’s red number is by Souza and features SPARKLES.

Sophie took her new hairdo into the evening (which for us, is great news). Both mother and daugher wore Zara dresses, Sophie in white eyelet and Louise in a black and white print.
Princess Beatrice continues her streak of repping The Vampire’s Wife, and of carrying whimsical clutches, this one from Sarah’s Bag.
Princess Eugenie really stood out in her white Gabriela Hearst Vez dress! Hi Jack!
Prince Charles’ speech.
Prince William’s speech.
There is quite a stellar line-up of performers for the Platinum Party. You can see them all here.
Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in Wales
The Cambridge duo (with their two oldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte) will travel to Cardiff, Wales on Saturday to meet and greet performers before a Platinum Jubilee celebration. They’ll watch some rehearsals and meet the presenters. The concert should wrap up by 7 PM so all attendees can watch the Platinum Party at the Palace. Giant screens will be set up on the castle grounds.
The Duke and Duchess’s itinerary is here.
Royal lady ponytail alert! The Duchess repeated her Eponine red coat and Charlotte wore a navy Amaia Razorbil coat.
Earl and Countess of Wessex in Northern Ireland
The Wessexes are traveling to Northern Ireland to meet members of the public as they celebrate the queen and their local communities’ history over the past 70 years. They will meet children taking part in multicultural street performances. No published itinerary for them, as usual, but we’ll do our best to track them down and report accordingly. See below!

The Eagles have landed in Belfast and commenced their day! The Countess debuted a new hairstyle and wore a floral ME & EM dress.
Feel free to drop your photos in the comments, and as always, we’ll circle back around with photos as they become available.
