There is another busy day ahead. Unfortunately, it was announced yesterday that Her Majesty will not be attending the National Service of Thanksgiving today. Most of the other senior royals and extended family will be there, though, with the possible exception of Princess Anne and Tim Laurence. They will be in Edinburgh today, and it’s not clear when they will depart. They may attend the service first.
National Service of Thanksgiving
The Jubilee celebrations continue with a National Service of Thanksgiving, which will be held today in St. Paul’s Cathedral, at 11:00 AM local time.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall led the way. The Duchess tapped her favorite designer, Fiona Clare, for this embroidered ivory coat/dress. The hat is by Philip Treacy – of course! Sharp-eyed Baguette Dalloway noticed that there are gob-stopping diamonds in the Duchess’s ears that we have not seen before.
Princess Anne arrived in a coat and dress combination wearing a massive Grima-style brooch!
Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived, with Kate wearing an Emilia Wickstead dress and a Philip Treacy (potato chip!) hat. She wore earrings on loan from the Queen, the Bahrain pearl drops).
Countess of Wessex coordinated the family in pale pink hues again today. Her Suzannah Alessia dress had some interesting back detail, including an open neckline and long sash tie.
The whole family is ready for the service.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived to great support by the crowd. The Duchess kept it simple in a putty white coat dress featuring a large Peter Pan collar. The dress (or coat, if you will) is by Dior, and it’s said her earrings are Maison Birks diamonds.
I am a fan of these gloves.
Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are in the house! Eugenie went dramatic in a bold color combination of pumpkin and black. The dress is “Amila” by Emilia Wickstead.
Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Princess Beatrice are also in attendance. Bea looked lovely in a sold blue midi and gave us the gift of a royal lady ponytail.
Lady Sarah Chatto, Lady Sarah-ing!
Lady Freddie and Zara Tindall, making a smashing color combo! Our eagle-eyed Baguette, Susannah, noted that it appears Lady Freddie is wearing the same dress as Princess Bea. (H/T to Polka Popp, on Twitter, who verified they are one and the same. It’s the Beulah London ‘Ahana’ dress. Sophie’s is in hot pink, Bea’s in chambre.
Princess Mike, who let’s face it, is no shrinking Violet!
Various shots of excellent headgear.
There will be a lunch at the Guildhall following the service.
Princess Anne in Edinburgh, Scotland
In addition, Princess Anne, and her husband, Sir Tim Laurence, will arrive in Edinburgh on Friday. The agenda includes a tour of the city’s zoo, including meeting children for an animal handling session in the Rainforest Room and visiting the Penguin Enclosure.
Later they will inspect a guard of honour on HMS Albion, and meet with charities across Scotland supported by the Queen and Anne as patrons.
As always, we’ll circle around with official photos as they become available!
