Open Post – Wedding of Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg and Nicholas Bagory (Updated with Photos)

Good Saturday morning to all Baguettes and Hofdudes who decided to gather to watch this wedding! We don’t have a lot of information, but let’s make do, as we always do!

Streaming

Last week’s civil wedding was streamed on the official Luxembourg royal Instagram, so we are hoping the religious ceremony will be, too. Unfortunately, we don’t have an official time for the beginning of the ceremony, so keep watching this space!

Here is the link.

Predictions

Both of Grand Duchess Maria Teresa’s daughters-in-law have worn her wedding earrings, so it’s a good bet her daughter will follow suit!

Location

The wedding will be held at Saint Trophyme church in Bormes-les-Mimosas, France.

Getting ready for the big event and a glimpse of the wedding program.

The Bride, Father of the Bride, and Groom

Let’s get to the star of the day first: the bride. Princess Alexandra is wearing Elie Saab, making her the third bride of the family to do so. It’s a departure in design, for sure. Not a sequin or embellishment in sight here. It’s a memorable gown, although, like many things, it’s not going to be to everyone’s taste. Grand Duke Henri is elegant as ever, and the groom looks thrilled with his happy, bubbly bride.

The tiara choice was a bit of a surprise to me, but it the Diamond Choker tiara does work with the gown.

I love the sprinkle of flowers you can glimpse in her hair here.

The Bridal Party

The little attendants (one of whom was Princess Amalia, Prince Felix’s daughter) wore white dresses with blue and white cummerbunds.

The Families

Speaking of memorable, the Grand Duchess also wore Elie Saab. I initially thought it was a Natan jumpsuit, and I’ll say nothing else about this ensemble.

These two don’t look like tired parents, do they? They are just giddy with happiness, and it’s wonderful to see. It’s always a pleasure to see young Prince Charles. Stephanie is in a Paule Ka gown.

Prince Felix, Princess Claire – in an off-the-shoulder Zuhair Murad – and their children, attendant Princess Amalia and Prince Liam.

Prince Louis with his sons – it was a shock to see Princes Noah and Gabriel so grown up.

The groom’s mother looked exceedingly beautiful, didn’t she?
