Open Post – Commonwealth Games 2022 (Updated Day 6!)

We covered the Opening Ceremony and the first few days in this week’s Bits, but since there are going to be appearances from various royals throughout the week, including the Cambridges today, we are going to provide this Open Post for the rest of the games. We’ll circle around at the end of the day with official photos as they become available.

Monday, August 1

For the Wessex family appearance during the day, see Monday’s Bits.

In the evening, the Wessex family returned in new attire. The Countess of Wessex wore the appropriately named “ditsy floral-print” from Me+Em.

More florals for Lady Louise, in the form of the Seasalt Cornwall dress with a lovely scoop neckline. She has been sporting some stylin’ specs throughout the games.

Tuesday, August 2

The Cambridges joined up with the Wessexes today at the Sandwell Aquatic Center.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore an Alexander McQueen Leaf Crepe suit paired with a Ralph Lauren top and her Mappin & Webb jewelry.

I want to know what is happening here!

The Wessex crew kindly posed all together for us today. The Sophster always looks sharp in pants, so I am quite happy to see this summery pair on her today. Her top is by Soler (Pia cotton). Lady Louise might be wearing a skirt by Lipsy London. Lotte appears very happy to see great-uncle Ed.

Since he is the reason for them all being famous, let’s not forget the CamDad. There he is – in blue ; ). The family paid a visit to SportsAid House. It’s nice to see the Duchess in relatively flat shoes for the event. It’s said she’s worn these Camilla Elphick “Alicia” flats before but apparently, I wasn’t paying attention.

There was some medal presentation in the evening by the Earl and Countess.

Wednesday, August 3

How close do the Wessexes live to Birmingham? They must be camping nearby ; ). Sophie is wearing her Me&Em blouse with a pair of beige Max Mara trousers. Lady Louise is in her Reformation Brighton dress. H/T to Heaven for identifying that from the Prince Philip documentary.

The family viewed some squash and Ed later handed out medals.
