The Duke and Duchess are scheduled to attend the U.K. premiere of Top Gun: Maverick tonight in Leicester Square. The premiere is hosted by The Film and TV Charity and is the 72nd Royal Film Performance hosted by the charity.
The couple will be greeted by the Lord Lieutenant and the CEO of the Film and TV Charity and will also meet film studio executives and cast members, including Tom Cruise and Miles Teller.
The eagles have landed. All our prognosticating that the Duchess would wear a repeat flew out of the window when she glided up in this.
It’s the “Lamble Gown” by Roland Mouret. I don’t know if this designer is anywhere else in her wardrobe (Edit: HE IS – see comments with a H/T to Baguette OZ), but he certainly made an impact with this sleek column. The rest of her look was as restrained as the gown: a simple hairstyle and a pair of gold dangling stars in her ears. They are thought to be Robinson Pelham, the jewelry designer responsible for Pippa’s wedding tiara and Kate’s wedding earrings.
However, if you are a lover of whimsy do not despair! The Duke wore a McQueen tuxedo and a pair of Crockett and Jones shoes embroidered with F18 (just like the plane!)
