There is great excitement afoot as the Prince and Princess of Wales head stateside for the first time since 2014, and for the first time with their new titles. The couple will spend three days in Boston, Massachusetts, capping the visit with the second annual Earthshot Prize Ceremony on Friday, December 2. You can read more about Earthshot here.
Wednesday, November 30
- Arrival in Boston
- Meeting with Mayor Michelle Wu at City Hall
The royal couple has arrived! The Princess of Wales is wearing a repeated Alexander McQueen suit.
For the meeting with the mayor, Michelle Wu, the Princess of Wales is wearing an Alexander McQueen coat over items that are being described as either entirely custom or vintage pieces, up to you to decide. (H/T to Remoulade Sauce on Twitter).

The dress under the coat is a tartan Burberry of unknown origin. It doesn’t appear to be from recent lines, though.
The final event of a very busy first day was the game between the Celtics and Lakers. I think re-wears are going to be a staple of this trip, and this Chanel vintage jacket (with Zara jeggings) was a welcome one.
Thursday, December 1
- Visit to climate tech startup Greentown Labs in Somerville
- Visit non-profit Roca in Chelsea
Ah, the couple that coordinates together makes the biggest impact, correct? This burgundy color was the order of the day for the Wales. They traveled to see both the Greentown Labs and Roca, with stop by to say hello to an adorable mini-Palace Guard. The Princess’ ensemble is again said to be all repeats, including an Alexander McQueen (or Roland Mouret) suit, Temperley London “pussy-bow” blouse, and Chanel handbag.
The Wales took a walk through Piers Park with Boston Mayor Michelle Wu and Reverend Mariama White-Hammond. She is wearing an Alexander McQueen coat, Gabriela Hearst turtleneck and skirt, and Gianvito Rossi boots.
Friday, December 2

Viewing Options
I don’t have any live viewing options at this point, but we will update the post if we find some. Per the Boston Globe: “The ceremony will be taped for later streaming and broadcast, with streaming dates set for Dec. 4 on the BBC and the Earthshot Prize YouTube Channel and for Dec. 5 on PBS.org. PBS will also stream the event at 8 p.m. on Dec. 5 via the PBS YouTube channel and will broadcast the ceremony on Dec. 14.
The Princess visited the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University, Cambridge. It’s reported that her dress is by Emilia Wickstead, handbag by Mulberry, and her earrings by Lenique Louie.
The Prince headed down to the Kennedy Library and Museum, where he was joined by Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg and her two children.
The moment we have been waiting for! The Prince and Princess of Wales have arrived at the Earthshot Prize 2022 at MGM Music Hall at Fenway. The Princess is wearing what is thought to be a Solace London gown (possibly rented), emerald choker necklace from Princess Diana’s collection, and new emerald earrings from Asprey London.
