To say that this caught us off guard would be an understatement. I didn’t even know there was going to be an Ascot until right before I went to bed last night! So here’s yet another opportunity for you to do our jobs for us. Drop all of your Ascot chat here, along with your favorite photos, and we’ll come along behind you and update the main body of the post as the days go on. Enjoy!

Princess Anne in bright blue.
Charles and Camilla.
Edward and Sophie.
Sophie has arrived in a floofy hat and Susannah (possibly) skirt. Personally, I am all about this for Ascot.
The Princess Royal continues her win streak with a sleek green dress. Why, yes, I did own something like this in 1985 however I highly doubt I can fit into mine. It might be new, the eighties are staging a comeback. That’s fine with me since this is good eighties.
The Countess has arrived. My initial reaction was “I love this” but on second look I would love to see a different hat with it. The metallic embroidery is nice though.
Zara Tindall flounces in floral floof.
Ha! We have been waiting for a good photo of Princess Anne channeling the sixties in the best possible way. Here it is. Silk, be still my heart.
After no royal appearances on Day Four, Day Five brought us the lady herself. She has a horse in the race today, and no way was she going to miss that!
