The Princess of Wales will host the second annual carol service at Westminster Abbey tonight. If the service is as well attended by members of the royal family as it was last year, there will be significant royal watching afoot. It will be and filmed for broadcast in the United Kingdom on ITV on Christmas Eve.
The service is dedicated to the long reign of Queen Elizabeth, and will higlight the values of service, empathy, faith and compassion for others.
Looks like we might actually have some photos coming in! As soon as they are official, we’ll update this post. In the meantime, enjoy yourselves in the comments.
The Princess of Wales, whose event this is, arrived before her family and went out to escort them in. She wore an Eponine London Bespoke coat and Eclectic Statement Gem “Long Drop Earrings”.
George and Charlotte have gotten quite used to public outings given all the events over the last year. They look downright cheerful to be with the family here. Is the family color coordination on? Well, yes it is!
His Majesty.
Here comes the Queen, a standout in white. The clip-on Citrine brooch was identifed by the Camilla Regina Britannia Twitter account. See link in the comments.
The Countess of Wessex also opted for a pale color – I feel we may have seen this coat before during one of her trips to NYC. She is elegant here, though.
The burgundy brigade has marched on in! Zara Tindall is pictured with the Middletons.
Zara’s coat is from Karen Millen, and they say there is an Erdem dress lurking under it!
For those of you, who like me, enjoy a glimpse of the distinguished Mr. Middleton, here you go!
Pippa Matthews is in the same color range and also wearing a Karen Millen coat. I thought she was twins with Zara for a minute, but I believe this one has a peplum.
Ah, Princess Alexandra, your scarf is almost as beautiful as your escort.
Lovely to have a Duke of Kent sighting.
Look! Look who actually got photographed – the Duchess of Gloucester herself! I feel that this green coat was a missed opportunity for emeralds.
Princess Beatrice and Edoardo made their way in together. Bea is in the Temperley London “Halcyon” coat.
Princess Eugenie sported a “Weekend Max Mara Cartone” coat, with a zingy fringe on the bottom.
Do you suppose Lady Freddie has had dreams of appearing in Dr. Zhivago? Just asking….
Ah, now, here’s some Christmas cheer, courtesy of Lady Gabriella.
Lady Sarah, I wish they had caught a photo of you full-on. I think it would make the brooch and earrings lovers around here very happy,
Prince and Princess Michael looking very old school. Honestly you could put this photo next to one of George V and Queen Mary and it wouldn’t look out of place.
