Queen in Training – Elisabeth, Duchess of Brabant Style Scope

The Duchess of Brabant has shown some real style potential during her public outings. Dare I say it? She is probably the most successful “wearer of Natan” out there currently. Fortunately, she sprinkles in enough other designers to maintain our interest.

For National Day 2021, Elisabeth wore an orange Natan number with a scoop neck and long gathered sleeves. This all sounds much worse when typed out like that than when viewed, where I find it a pretty successful look.

National Day seems to bring out the Natan in the Belgians. In 2020, Elisabeth wore a floral Natan dress with a handkerchief hem. It could have been dowdy, but she elevates it into pretty and feminine.

Ok, here’s a Natan break. For the Christmas concert in 2019, the Princess wore the Diane von FurstenbergĀ Monica Jumpsuit and Another Natan entry, and a jumpsuit at that, but she wore it well. Either that or my spirit has just been broken with regard to jumpsuits! (Thank you to ModekoninginMathilde for the update!)

I like this businesslike white crepe Natan worn for her18th birthday.

High necked, floral, flowing? Natan? You bet. Worn for 2019 National Day, the dress once again looks feminine and fresh on the young princess, but I wouldn’t want to see it on any of our more classic royals.

This one is youthful and fun. Elisabeth wore this Maje Raphael Dress for Belgian National Day in July 2018. I would love to see it again.

Let us see you photos of Elisabeth, and together we’ll all look forward to a sartorially rewarding future.
