Random Royaling – Balearic Reception on Mallorca

Last night, the Spanish royals hosted a dinner for the authorities of the Balearic Islands on Mallorca. This annual event has been on hiatus since 2019 due to the pandemic. H/T to our Baguette Iselen for all the information in this post!

This year, the reception location was changed a few times, but the final venue ended up being a personal residence of the King of Spain, Marivent. It’s a nice touch, designed to foster a closer relationship with the crown.

I added a few shots of the set-up at Marivent, which looks as if it was outdoors and casual, at least as far as these things go.

Letizia’s off-the-shoulder dress, a cactus print, is from Charo Ruiz, a designer with an atelier on Ibiza island.

The Queen wore a pair of silver earrings from Isabel Guarch, a favorite designer of Queen Sofia. Her espadrilles are from Calzados Picón, which has been in business since 1978. These are handmade products with 100% natural materials. As we know, espadrilles are a Spanish favorite, and Princess Leonor is also a fan of this brand.

Queen Sofia typically attends this event. She appeared cool in a printed blouse and flowing trousers, which is very much her usual for a summer evening in Mallorca.
