Random Royaling – British Visit to Jordan (Updated Day Four!)

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall have embarked on a Middle East tour, which will include stops in Jordan and Egypt. They left directly after the service at the Cenotaph and arrived in Jordan yesterday. They were greeted by King Abdullah II and Queen Rania at the Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman.

Day One

The Duchess of Cornwall wore one of her “fit and flow” dresses (no word on the designer) and Queen Rania wore a structured white dress with a lighter, embellished under-bodice, closed with a gold belt. It’s the Jordanian Queen’s shoes I’d give my eyeteeth for, though.

The first day was busy. On one stop, the British royals visited the Baptism site of al-Maghtas. Per the court, the area is “a significant place for all three monotheistic religions, and where interfaith relations can be celebrated.”

Queen Rania took the Duchess of Cornwall – in her Tesla! – to visit The Queen Rania Family and Children Centre Amman.

The women looked elegant and coordinated at a dinner in Amman at the end of the first day. As you know, I love Rania in traditional clothing, and the Duchess of Cornwall is wearing a pale green evening gown by Anna Valentine, the same designer who produced her spectacular wedding blessing dress. Princess Sarvath is in the background. I wish we could see more of her dress. The Princess was born in India and she often blends the influence of her home country with the styles of the Middle East.

Day Two

Today there was another print dress for Camilla as the royal couple stopped at The Sea of Galilee in Umm Qais, Jordan.

More floating and flowy Anna Valentine for Camilla tonight!

Day Three

Charles and Camilla have arrived in Egypt for the second part of their trip. Her is Camilla today at the Al Azhar Mosque in Cairo, Egypt. This is an all Anna Valentine trip, it seems. I do like this tunic and trouser combination.

Unfortunately, we did not have access to photos from the evening event at Pyramid 9 in Cairo, but Aussie Girl has posted a few of the Duchess in a deep blue in the comments. You can also see them here. Thanks to Baguette Aussie Girl!

Day Four

The Duchess visited the Brooke Veterinary Hospital in Cairo, a hospital that cares for working horses and donkeys. The Duchess has been on a pure Anna Valentine tear this trip. This mint-green dress is also by the designer. The Prince was visiting the GrEEk Campus, a technology park.
