Random Royaling – Easter Sunday at Windsor

It’s a lovely, sunny Easter morning in Windsor. A good contingent of the royal family headed to church, and there was some color coordination in play – but not too much, for those of you who are not fans. It is also the 18th wedding anniversary of the King and Queen.

Blue sky, blue coats, blue embellishments. A blue day for sure. The Queen wore a coat with a lighter blue embroidered detail, which she picked up in her hat, too.

Brooch babes, this lady should be making you happy, although I suspect some would have preferred a big honking sapphire here. Still, the pretzel brooch is pretty.

Look at Princess Anne, getting in on the blue and white action here.

Here is a family unafraid of a little coordination. The Princess of Wales is wearing a Catherine Walker coat, and the rest of the family follows in blue – isn’t that how it all works?

I like this contrasting lapel detail.

The Duchess of Edinburgh is not blue at all. No Louise today, but maybe she remained in the north studying for her exams!

Remember this hat shape from Sophie’s early royaling years?

Ah, the Tindall and the Mapelli Mozzi families, looking very springlike. I think Beatrice, with her clean lines and strong colors, is my favorite here.

Wait, no – I adore young Mia. I think she is channeling a Ukranian Easter egg and it is lovely.

Princess Eugenie went with a dress from Whistles, also in the blue theme. Jack, bless him, coordinated his tie.

If you celebrate this holiday, I wish you a good one!
