No, it’s not what we are used to, but Handbaggers are a flexible lot. We are going to have to be, since many of our beloved yearly events will either not happen or take a different approach. Let’s lean into Koningsdag, social-distancing-style. It was officially renamed Woningsdag, or Stay-at-Home Day.
OC informed the rest of us that the flowers are wisteria, and they look fragrant and lovely. I am envious because in my frozen northern climate, there are no flowers other than some hardy daffodils and hyacinths – our tulips are not even up yet.
The ladies. Oh world, watch out. The A Team is growing up. Maxima wore a Seren print silk floral jumpsuit (of course she did!), CA is in an eyelet (if you’re from the US) or broderie anglaise (if you’re from anywhere else) dress by Lisa Marie Fernandez. Alexia – who is my favorite here – is in a Lagerfeld shirt dress.
Since the typical activities were off limits, the family made a series of video calls to locations around the country.
From Max’s office and, of course, the DNA Salon!
I would have loved to be on the receiving end of this call.
And a quick fun fact that A3 is repeating a dress from A1. Start ‘em young!
It’s good to be King, isn’t it WAX?
