No rest for the wicked around here folks! Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary are on a two-day business trip to the Netherlands. The Earl and Countess of Wessex started their trip to Cyprus yesterday too. We rolled the dice and the Danes are up today. We’ll check in with the Wessexes tomorrow.
For the arrival, Mary wore a Theodore Scanlan suit. The couple headed to a “HealthTech and MedTech” seminar. Fred did some very Fred things ; ). If you are a fan of fabulous ceilings, this video is worth a watch.
The day was packed with events, including a tour of a public administration building and a trip to the Royal Academy of Arts. Not sure where – or why – Mary exchanged her Gianvitto Rossi pumps for a pair of NIkes. But it happened.
In the evening, the royal couple met up with their “fun friends”, Queen Maxima and King Willem Alexander for the official dinner. Mary re-wore her Temperley London dress, a design that has led to lively discussions around here in the past. She paired it with some terrific accessories, including Ole Lynggaard Winter Frost earrings and her acid-yellow Manola Blahnik shoes. Queen Maxima wore the Carolina Herrera Ottoman Corset Knit Midi Dress and a fabulous five-strand pearl necklace.
Once again we are so fortunate to have Friend-of-the-blog Gert-Jan’s photos! We are forever in his debt (and forever envious that he sees these folks up-close and in person!)

The original design of Mary’s Temperley gown, and the glimpse of the royal re-do we saw in March. It has been shortened, and it appears she added a black lining.

I’d like to go earring shopping with these two.

I definitely would like to be seated at the same table as these two!
I’m quite sure I’d look like a tiny troll between these two ; )
Let us know what you think!
