Paris Fashion Week was September 23 through October 1, 2019. To say anything about the actual fashion coming down the runways is beyond the ability of this blogger, but a couple of royals/royal adjacent folks appeared – and they happen to be related, too. Let’s discuss them instead!
Charlotte Casiraghi was spotted at the Saint Laurent Womenswear Spring/Summer 2020 show. Her outfit is very Charlotte and makes me wonder how on earth she managed the front row without getting – as Fanny Brice would say – an updraft in her underpants.
Her younger half sister was seen at the Dior show. Initially I only saw Princess Alexandra of Hanover from the neck up, and I was entranced by her earrings, to the point of spending several fruitless minutes Googling for them.
Then the entire ensemble appeared and I remembered that I lived through the eighties once and don’t need to relive it. She does seem very sweet, though, and as if she enjoys these events.
She enjoys them so much, she popped up later in the week at the Chloe show!

In related news, Philosophy1984’s Spring/Summer 2020 line was inspired by Princesses Stephanie and Caroline, who were big stars in those days.

We don’t cover them here often, so here are some bonus quick hits on the family. Caroline attended the nursing graduation ceremonies at the Princess Grace Hospital, and looked fantastic. Charlotte and her husband Dmitri attended the ANDAM awards and she sported an interesting look.
And what do you say about the Monaco appearances? Yay or Nay?
