The Swedish King hosted the annual Representatives Dinner last night, with members of the diplomatic corps, the Riksdag, the government, and Swedish citizens from science, sport, business, and cultural institutions as their honored guests. The Crown Princely couple and Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia were there in support. Unfortunately, the Queen was still indisposed with a cold.
Thank heavens these tiara events are back on the calendar, just in time for us to see some of our old favorites. There were also a couple of repeats on the menu.
Crown Princess Victoria
The Crown Princess wore her sparkling Jenny Packham gown with a deep v-neck. She accessorized with Princess Lilian’s Laurel Wreath tiara and two handsome Swedish gentlemen.
This gown debuted at the pre-wedding gala of Prince Carl Philip and Sofia Hellqvist. It was a non-tiara occasion but the lack of sash allows us to see the front of the gown more clearly.
Princess Sofia
The Princess wore her Zetterberg Couture separates with the pearl configuration of her wedding tiara (every time she wears this I say we need to keep a spreadsheet to keep track of her many uses of this gift). Interesting tidbit, the skirt is from the 2018 bridal collection.
She previously wore this outfit with the same tiara – diamonds only – during the Italian State Visit dinner in 2018.
