I think I can speak for the readership when I say we’ve all seen someone dressed in an outfit that really struck a note upon first viewing. It can be a day outfit, a black tie outing, or a white tie full on orders & jewels situation. With this series, I’d like us to think about one–JUST ONE–outfit we’d like to see the current royal repeat. Let’s begin with Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden!
For Queen Margrethe of Denmark’s 70th birthday in 2010, Victoria wore this BCBG Max Azria gown.
This was a black tie event, though many tiaras were worn by the other ladies in attendance. No one knows why Victoria did not partake! Her figure is respectfully celebrated by both the graphic black & white stripes and all the frills normally seen on her Nordic counterpart. I think it’s fun and it was definitely unexpected from this particular princess. Plus, it stands out in this amazing photograph full of tiaras and other jewels. Come to think of it, this photograph holds 3 of my 4 favorite looks for Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark’s Crown Princesses at the time.
