Last week Baguettes overwhelmingly chose Princess Märtha Louise’s first outing of her lilac gown as their favorite. As for the red Rena Lange suit worn by Queen Sonja and Märtha Louise, it was a squeaker but the suit was deemed slightly better with a necklace. Also, the Princes of Wales’ Middle East tour post has been updated with Day Four.
Another hot-off-the-presses Royal Re-wear is up today. Last night, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the annual Royal Variety Performance. The Duchess wore a custom Jenny Packham gown, which was based on the 2019 runway piece ‘Georgia’. The sequined bottle-green gown has an open round neck and features larger beads on the bodice and natural waistline.
2021 Royal Variety Show
During the most recent outing, the Duchess accessorized with her Missoma Zenyu Gold Chandelier earrings. These also appeared (with another outfit) during the 2019 Pakistan tour. She paired it with a coordinating clutch and her Rebecca shoes. She wore her hair loose and curled.
2019 Pakistan Tour
Kate debuted this gown on the second night of the 2019 Pakistan tour. The gown was paired with a Packham-designed coordinated fringed scarf. She accessorized with her Jimmy Choo “Mimi” sandals and a custom pair of filigree earrings made Pakistan by Chelsea-based boutique O’nitaa London. She wore her hair in a half updo, which I realize is not part of the accessorizing, but often the hair choices can affect how you feel about an appearance. Greatly!
Before we head to the vote, here you go. Just because I know you wanted to see this again, too.
