Royal Shares and Rewears – Princess Marie in Rikke Gudnitz

For the next couple of weeks we are re-visiting Christmas season re-wears. Join us today as we jet off to Denmark to bask in the glow of levees past.

As an aside, The Royal Court of Denmark confirmed that the Crown Prince Couple and the Prince Couple will attend the New Year’s Dinner at Amalienborg on January 1st. Maybe we’ll see this gown again.

2018 New Year’s Levee

In 2018, Princess Marie wore a gold and white gown from one of her go-to designers, Rikke Gudnitz. The Danish designer knows how to flatter the petite royal’s figure, and has been tapped to design both daywear and evening wear for the princess. This embellished gown integrates well with Marie’s floral tiara, which is her primary tiara.

2017 Belgian State Banquet

The gown debuted at the 2017 Belgian State Banquet, where it meshed with the orange worn by Queen Mathilde and Crown Princess Mary’s gold ensemble. Once again, since Marie’s hairstyle and tiara are similar in both appearances, the outing you prefer will come down to whether you like it with the order chain or sash.
