We all know that the Queen of Spain can stretch her wardrobe to accommodate almost any event, but what’s interesting is that she not only does it with basics, but with some unique pieces. This week she demonstrated that twice.
Hugo Boss Sistine Trousers
The Queen owns a distinctive pair of Hugo Boss “BOSS Womenswear” trousers in a cropped length. The leather, the styling, and the color all make them stand out. She’s worn them twice to public events.
This Wednesday, February 15, Letizia attended a meeting on gender violence at Zarzuela Palace. She wore the trousers with the coordinating Hugo Boss sweater, Boss belt, and her deep maroon Lodi pumps.
Obviously she likes this combination. Last November, she wore the entire ensemble to the Work and Mental Health: 20 years breaking stigmas” conference.
Carolina Herrera Leather Peplum Jacket
Another distinctive piece in her wardrobe is this Herrera leather peplum jacket, which closes in the front with a row of leather covered buttons.
Yesterday, February 16, the King and Queen opened the exhibition “Sorolla, through the light” at the Royal Palace. The Queen wore the jacket over her Mango dress, a red belt, and her Mango pumps, for an arty, dramatic look.

Last February, she wore the jacket with very similar styling to the forum “World Against Cancer” on World Cancer Day.
In June 2017, the jacket appeared with very different styling, and in a different season, which shows how versatile it is. She appeared wearing an updo and a pair of white trousers for a nice summer effect.
The jacket for all seasons debuted in May 2017. She paired it with a white pencil skirt and dramatic white earrings for a fresh spring look.
