King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia hosted the Parliamentary Dinner (Riksdagssupé) at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia all attended. The dinner, traditionally followed by a concert, is held after each parliamentary election. The King and Queen host members of parliament, the government and representatives of the Riksdag’s leadership.
Silvia is wearing a repeat red gown. Victoria wore a Rodebjer Groa Silk Blouse and a new skirt designed by Camilla Thulin. She also sported Maria Nilsdotter Magic Moon Earrings, Swarovski Power Rock Clutch, and several Ebba bracelets. The entire effect makes for quite a statement look, one toward which I tend to feel positive thoughts. This is funky Vickan at her best.
Sofia wore a new to us blue gown by Ida Lanto and Stinaa.J blue pumps. The earrings are also Ebba pieces. It’s a lovely outfit, very flattering, and very Sofia. The Royals and I has several photos of both the gowns and accessories for further perusal.
I included Daniel and Government Minister Amanda Lind because I am in awe of her dreadlocks.
This weekend the Vasaloppet cross country ski race was held in Sweden. The race is held on the first Sunday in March, and is the oldest cross country ski race in the world. The 90 km (56mi) course starts in the village of Sälen and ends in the town of Mora in northwestern Dalarna, Sweden .
This year Prince Carl Philip of Sweden was one of the participants.
CP isn’t the only royal, or royal adjacent person to complete the race; King Carl XVI Gustaf has done the race three times.
