Alexander McQueen has served her well, but here the house more than serves, it bows down. Someone there has noticed that filmy plus flowy suit her athletic figure, and that white lights her complexion up like the night sky. I hope she did a twirl for the kids before leaving for the night; heck, I hope she did a twirl just for herself. She killed it.
Embed from Getty ImagesThis dress calls back to two previous McQueens for Kate, the 2018 pink gown worn during the Norwegian visit, and the lilac gown worn at the 2011 BAFTAs. It’s an improvement over both those entries, in my book. It has no bulk added features, such as the cape on the Norwegian gown. The sophisticated shoulder detail, the significant jewels and soft updo, make the appearance more polished than 2011.
