The Duke and Duchess of Sussex kicked off their first official day of the trip with a visit to the ‘Education For All’ boarding house in Asni Town, located in the Atlas Mountains. It is an all-girls boarding school for students ages 12 to 18. They’re looking quite comfy and casual aren’t they. I approve!
The Duchess also received a henna tattoo, which is customary for Moroccan women to receive in their 7th month of pregnancy. It is thought to bring good luck to both the mother and baby.
After that it was off to another school, ‘LycĂ©e Qualifiant Grand Atlas’ which is the local secondary school. They again met with students and watched a soccer game.
Next up was the Investiture of Michael McHugo, the founder of ‘Education for All’, with the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. Harry changed back into his grey suit, while Meghan swapped out her black t-shirt for a blouse.
The royal couple wrapped up day 2 with a reception hosted by the British Ambassador to Morocco. Meghan in Dior, Harry in Yet Another Blue Suit.
I have to admit I was a bit relieved to see it. Was it really Haz or one of those “Pod People”, ya know? You can never be too careful about that kind of thing.
Stay tuned for the third and last day of the trip, coming up soon!
