Royal Rock Retrospective

One of the things I most love about royalty is the ability to display history through the use of house jewelry. Today, we’ll take a quick look at one of my favorite tiaras, the Dutch Antique Pearl.

Here we have current Queen Máxima wearing it.

One generation back we have have former Queen (now Princess) Beatrix and her sisters Margriet and Irene.

Margriet, a family workhorse and always a treat to see.

Another generation back we have the formidable Juliana…

Juliana and her fab cat eye glasses.

And lastly, we have Wilhelmina.

Wilhelmina, a queen uncharacteristically portrayed without earrings in this image.

Lots of the Orange ladies have worn it over the years and I think it is a classic that will serve them well through future generations.
