Random Royaling – Princess Sofia Celebrates 100 Years of Swedish Democracy

Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia attended a concert commemorating the 100th anniversary of the establishment of democracy in Sweden. In January 1922, five women entered the Riksdag (Swedish Parliament) and a system of democratic representation for the whole of the Swedish people was founded. The celebratory concert featured Swedish singers and musicians. With the rest of the House of Bernadotte out with Covid or isolating due to close contact with Covid, Carl Philip and Sofia stepped up to represent the royals.

Princess Sofia wore a new dress by Dorothee Schumacher, but it’s her Raven Jewel earrings and new hairstyle that draw the eye. Those are some dramatic bangs – or fringe, depending on where you are reading this. While I admire the commitment to the mid-sixties style, I have my doubts that she can really see through them. No word on whether they were temporary clip-ons or if she has actually taken the plunge and gone with a deep fringe. The Manolo Blahnik shoes are a nice, zingy touch.
