Day One – Day

Queen Maxima continues her love affair with the puffiest of sleeves, and Natan is happy to oblige her. The hat and dress are both new. You can read about them at ModekoninginMathilde. UFONoMore has identified Crown Princess Victoria’s suit as Camilla Thulin, the headpiece as Orjan Jakobsson, and her shoes as Marzio. Queen Silvia is wearing a Georg & Arend outfit and carrying her Hermes bag. Princess Sofia is in a Lilli Jahilo repeat red dress.

Look who joined in at the ceremony before lunch! Princess Estelle is wearing a Patachou dress. She did well, including a few shuffle steps to get in place and a hug from dad after.

If Max’s sleeves aren’t your thing just gaze upon those beautiful pink morganite earrings from the Steltman studio.

The foursome also visited the magnificent Vasa museum, and you get a peek at Queen Max in sensible (Ferragamo) shoes!

Day One – Banquet

Lawd the excitement built over this event, and deservedly so! However, the photos are slow to trickle in. We’ll do our best with what we have so far.

Queens Maxima and Silvia had a confab and decided that the Big was Better. Both the Stuart (in a slightly modified version, shown in the comments by Hofdude Triple-A) and the Braganza came out to play. As if this sparkle power was not enough, both women chose fabulous gowns. The Dutch Queen rewore her Jan Taminiau sari, which debuted back in 2017 during the Indian state visit. The fabric had been purchased many years previously, when she was still Princess Maxima. Queen Silvia wore what appears to be a new gown, a raspberry number with a stiff skirt that balances out the enormous tiara nicely.

Just drink her in and be glad we live in such times!

The Crown Princess, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia, Princess Christina and her husband Tord were also there. The woman wore an autumn rainbow of colors, which were complemented by the Napoleon Amethyst tiara (Victoria), the Palmette Wedding tiara in emerald form (Sofia), and the Connaught (Christina). Victoria’s gown is by Camilla Thulin, who has really been making the Crown Princess look good lately. Princess Sofia’s gown by Ida Lanto.

Day Two

The ladies are in blue today! Queen Maxima has busted out a repeat Natan, and Queen Silvia responded with a blue shade of her own. The Brooch brigade will be happy with both women today – Max in aquamarines and Sils in her diamonds. The foursome participated in an economic roundtable.

The group was joined by the Crown Princess, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, and Princess Sofia for lunch. Princess Sofia is in an Andiata dress, the Crown Princess reached for one of her favorite designers, Rodebjer.

There was a clothing switch for the afternoon visit to Stockholm Exergi Day. Queen Silvia wore lots of red (and it works!) and Queen Maxima put on a repeated jumpsuit from Costarellos. I understand that the coat over the shoulders bothers some people, but I can see the practicality of it. You don’t want to be struggling in and out of it during these visits. Sils has a nice layered effect with her Georg & Arend shawl, which might make for a good compromise.

In the evening, King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima hosted the Swedish royals at a concert. Maxima rewore her very experimental Iris van Herpen gown, Queen Silvia wore deep green Georg & Arend, Princess Sofia wore another Ida Lanto design, and the Crown Princess wore a very interesting feathered white gown, which is a custom Toteme creation with featherwork done by Swedish artisan Tim Mårtenson.

Day Three

There’s definitely a color conspiracy afoot ; ). The Queens appeared in deep purple/plum/burgundy (you choose) for the the day three visit to the Science Park in Gothenburg.

This is an all business day, so a suit – possibly from Zara – is the choice. Not sure what you guys will think about the shocking pink blouse and headband – I guess we’ll see how the comments roll out. Queen Silvia is attired in quiet good taste as always. The suit is a classic Chanel.

The royal tag teams headed over to visit the Stenpieren harbour and the electric ferry Eloise – Max interacted with the crowds and gave us a chance to see that headband up close. Then they headed to the Volvo experience, where the Queen showed her front loader skills.

The fabulous foursome also took in a little virtual reality. I’m really a fan of Queen Silvia this trip – this jacket is just perfection for her.
