A couple of royal birthdays are on the docket this lovely week in spring. Let’s get to them!
Belgium
The youngest child of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, Princess Eleonore, just celebrated her 15th birthday. She posed in a crisp blue and white Zara shirt for the occasion. She is a mixture of her mother and father in my eyes.
Denmark
Let’s all wish good Queen Margrethe a happy 83rd! She’s had quite a year but is on the road to recovery from her recent back surgery. The official photo features gold and brown tones, which the Queen wears surprisingly well – and of course, being a Queen, there is a brooch pinned prominently on her!
The entire family gathered on the balcony to celebrate the event. Prince Christian simply looms over everyone these days, doesn’t he? When did this all happen? The royal lady pantsuits were well-represented by three of the female contingent: Crown Princess Mary is in a Scanlon Theodore suit, Princess Isabella is wearing Massimo Dutti, and Princess Marie is sporting a pink Emporio Armani number. Princess Josephine is wearing the Ba & Sh “Emree” dress.
I recently mentioned that we needed a good dose of Princess Mary on this blog, and here we are – two sightings in one week. The Crown Princess attended an antimicrobial resistance event at the Bella Center last week wearing her Helmut Lange blazer over a Birger Christensen floral dress.
Britain
With the focus on the coronation, the Duchess of Edinburgh has been a little overlooked here lately. She continues to make her rounds, recently opening the new Oglesby Centre. Her outfit is all repeats: a Giuliva Heritage jacket paired with Max Mara trousers.
🎼 The Duchess of Edinburgh visited ‘The Oglesby Centre’ at @hallestpeters in Manchester. Sophie saw their new Art Club and heard a performance from the Hallé Ancoats Community Choir.@the_halle was originally opened by Her Royal Highness, as Patron, in 2013. pic.twitter.com/7YnhpySplv

Meanwhile, her husband, the Duke, added his own dramatic twist to an unveiling of a plaque at the opening of the Viva Arts New Theatre.
🎠The Duke then went on to open Viva Arts new theatre, where he watched a short performance. The theatre was originally a Mill, but is now a thriving arts centre and supporting the local community.

Monaco
In sunny Monaco, the nuclear core of the Grimaldi family attended the Monte-Carlo ATP Masters Series tournament tennis match. Jacques matched his dad, suit coat-wise, and Charlene rocked the royal lady pantsuit in white.
